His Eminence Baselios Joseph Catholicos will visit the city from January 3 to 5, and extensive arrangements have been made to receive him with honour and devotion.
On January 3, a grand reception will be accorded to the Catholicos at the Diocese of Mumbai, St. Gregorios Church, Mulund. The event will be attended by ministers, church leaders, and various public representatives, marking a significant moment for the faithful in Mumbai.
On January 4, His Eminence will celebrate the Holy Qurbana at St. Thomas Orthodox Church, Nerul, in the morning. The visit will conclude on January 5, when the Catholicos will lay the foundation stone for major upcoming projects in Kalapur, including a Sreshta School and a Retirement Home.
To coordinate the visit, a 301-member Welcome Committee has been formed under the leadership of Fr. Mathews Chalappuram (Chairman), Fr. Joseph Vazhayil – General Convener,
Fr. Binoy Nellikkathuruthel – General Secretary,
P. P. Jimmy – Treasurer,
T. George Kutty– Secretary, to
ensure the success of all reception programmes and related arrangements.
