Kerala In Mumbai – Reconnecting a Community, Reviving a Legacy
Kerala In Mumbai has entered an exciting new chapter as we expand our presence on digital platforms, continuing a legacy that began 13 years ago. Launched in 2010 as an English monthly magazine under the patronage of the late Shri Shankara Narayanan, former Governor of Maharashtra, Kerala In Mumbai quickly became a trusted publication capturing the life, vibrancy, and aspirations of the Mumbai Malayalee community.
Over the years, we covered a wide range of subjects—from culture, arts, community organisations, and profiles of inspiring individuals to social issues, events, and Kerala-related updates—earning a special place among Malayalees across Mumbai and its suburbs. However, like many publications, we faced operational challenges during the COVID period, which forced us to pause our print magazine a couple of years ago.

Today, responding to the overwhelming support and continuous demand from our readers, we are delighted to announce the revival of Kerala In Mumbai in a new and modern format—as a dynamic online digital platform and YouTube channel. This transition allows us to reach a wider audience, especially the younger generation that prefers digital content and is more comfortable with English than Malayalam, without losing the cultural heart of our community.
Our platform, operated by Vibrant Media Services, is led by P. V. Vijaykumar—an experienced media professional with over four decades in the industry. From our office at Marol, Andheri East, we continue the mission of bridging the cultural distance that many Malayalees, especially second- and third-generation youth, often feel after decades of living away from Kerala.
For over eight decades, Malayalees have made Mumbai their home—contributing to its growth through entrepreneurship, professional excellence, and community service. Yet, with changing times, cultural values and traditions often fade. Kerala In Mumbai aims to restore that connection by sharing stories, traditions, rituals, festivals, and Kerala’s evolving social and cultural landscape.
Through our website (www.keralainmumbai.com) and our growing YouTube channel (keralainmumbai), we deliver:
News round-ups on Keralites in Mumbai
Kerala news updates
Entertainment and cultural stories
Interviews with prominent Mumbai Malayalees
Extensive coverage of Malayalee events across Mumbai, Thane, Vasai, Navi Mumbai, Kalyan, and beyond
Features on social service initiatives and community organisations
We particularly wish to highlight the remarkable, often unsung contributions of individuals and Samajams who work tirelessly to uplift the less fortunate across the city. Their stories deserve a wider platform, and we are committed to giving them visibility.
We also invite all Mumbai-based Malayalee associations, groups, and individuals to share their news and activities with us. You can send updates via WhatsApp (+91 7045790857) or email (keralainmumbai@gmail.com). We will be happy to feature your contributions on our platform.
As Kerala In Mumbai embraces the digital era, our vision remains unchanged—to be a familiar, trusted name in every Malayalee home in Mumbai, serving as a cultural bridge that keeps our community connected, informed, and proudly rooted in its identity.
We look forward to your continued support as we move ahead in this exciting new journey.
