The general meeting of the Malayalam Mission Mahad–Kamothe Zone was held on Sunday, April 12th, 2026, at Balgram Maharashtra Hall, Khanda Colony, Panvel, with Zonal President Jayanarayanan presiding.
Chapter Secretary Ramachandran Mancharambath and Chapter Vice President Rajashree Mohan attended the meeting as observers. Zonal Secretary Vinod Kumar welcomed the gathering, while Zonal Convener Nisha Prakash presented the detailed work report covering the period from April 2023 to April 11, 2026.
Members including Gokul Das (MKNS) and Unnikrishnan (MMAK) expressed their views on the report, which was unanimously approved by the house. Several members present also voiced their support for the activities carried out during the period under review.
Addressing the gathering, Chapter Vice President Rajashree Mohan and Chapter Secretary Ramachandran Mancharambath spoke on the activity report and appreciated the efforts of the zonal team. Bynu P. George of Mahad Malayali Samajam, along with Pratap Nair and Saiju Nair representing the Marathon Malayali Association, shared insights on the functioning of study centres, classes, and related activities.
The meeting also witnessed the formation of a new regional committee. Initially, study centre conveners and teacher representatives from various affiliated organisations were appointed, followed by the election of office bearers for the Mahad–Kamothe region.
V. Gokul Das was elected as Regional President, Kunjumon Joseph as Vice President, Vinod Kumar V. K as Secretary, Rameshan P. C as Joint Secretary, and Jayanarayanan as Treasurer.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Regional Convener Nisha Prakash.
