Renowned performing artist Jayashree Nair has been selected for the prestigious title “Kala Sarathi” by the World Forum for Art & Culture, an initiative of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankarji’s Art of Living.

The honour is being conferred in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the preservation, promotion, and nurturing of Indian performing arts over the years. Through her dedication as a performer, teacher, and cultural ambassador, she has played a significant role in enriching the artistic landscape and inspiring generations.

The award will be presented during the “BHAAV – The Expression Summit”, a four-day festival celebrating art and culture, scheduled from 6th to 10th May 2026 at the Art of Living International Centre, Bengaluru. The event will be held in the esteemed presence of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.

Expressing her gratitude, Jayashree Nair humbly dedicated the honour with the spirit of “Na Idam Mama” — “Nothing is mine,” reflecting her deep sense of devotion and surrender to the art form.

This recognition marks yet another proud moment for the Malayali community and the cultural fraternity associated with Kerala in Mumbai.
