The World Malayalee Federation (WMF) Maharashtra State Council has announced the Maharashtra State Level Cricket Tournament 2026, scheduled to be held on April 18th and 19th at Casario Ground, Dombivli East.
The tournament, aimed at bringing together Malayalee cricket enthusiasts from across Maharashtra, will feature 16 teams competing in a fast-paced 6-over match format with overarm bowling. Matches will begin at 8:00 AM on both days. Participation is limited to Malayalee teams, and registrations are currently open with an entry fee of ₹2000 per team.
Organisers have announced attractive cash prizes for the winners. The first prize carries ₹50,000 along with a winners trophy and certificate of appreciation, while the second and third prizes are ₹25,000 and ₹15,000 respectively, each accompanied by trophies and certificates. In addition, all participants will receive medals and certificates.
The inaugural function will be attended by prominent dignitaries including Shri Rajesh More, Honourable MLA, Shri Pratap Baburao Sarnaik, Minister of Transport, and Shri Ravindra D. Chavan, Honourable MLA. Indian cricket player Sudish Nair will grace the occasion as the Guest of Honour.
With only 16 team slots available, organisers have urged interested teams to register at the earliest. The tournament is expected to witness enthusiastic participation from the Malayalee community across Mumbai and other parts of Maharashtra, promoting sportsmanship and community bonding.
