The annual Pongala festival will be conducted at Vasai as a part of Chakkulathu Kavu Pongala under the auspices of the Nair Welfare Association on March 22nd, with a series of devotional programmes.
As part of the celebrations, Peetha Pooja, Vilakku Pooja, and a Sahasranama archana will be held on the eve of Pongala at Kalpataru Maidan, located opposite the Kali Mata Temple on 60 Feet Road, Vasai, at 5:00 pm. Renowned speaker Radhakrishnan Namboothiri will deliver a spiritual discourse on the occasion.
On the following day, March 22nd at 8:00 am, Manikuttan Namboothiri of Chakkulathu Kavu temple will lead a sermon, after which the Pongala ritual will be performed with devotion and participation from devotees.
The organisers have invited all devotees to take part in the rituals and seek the blessings of the Goddess.
