The concluding ceremony of the 14th Malayalam Festival, organised by the Malayala Bhasha Pracharana Sangham, will be held on Sunday, March 15th at 4 pm at Adarsha Vidyalaya, Chembur. Well-known serial and film actor, anchor, speaker and State Television Award winner Kishore N.K. will be the chief guest on the occasion.

Representatives from ten regional units of the Malayalam Language Promotion Group will participate in the closing ceremony.
The Malayalam Festival, which began in 2012, has grown into a major cultural event for the Malayali community in Mumbai. Similar in spirit to the school and college youth festivals in Kerala, the festival aims to nurture the unique cultural heritage and traditional art forms of Malayalam while encouraging the younger generation of Mumbai Malayalis to actively engage with these artistic traditions.
Organisers noted that the enthusiastic participation of young people in regional and central committee activities has been particularly encouraging. Over the past fourteen years, the festival has witnessed strong public participation and has become a cherished cultural platform for the community. In a special initiative this year, differently-abled participants were also given opportunities to compete directly in selected events of the Central Arts Festival, promoting inclusiveness in cultural activities.
During the closing ceremony, awards will be presented to the winners of the Kendra Kalolsavam (Central Arts Festival) held at Adarsha Vidyalaya, Chembur on December 14th, along with prizes for the Drama Festival held on February 1st and the all-Maharashtra literary competitions organised by the Malayalam Language Promotion Group.
The occasion will also witness the release of the special edition of the organisation’s mouthpiece, “Keralam Valarunnu.”
The concluding programme will be followed by award-winning performances presented at the central level by artists from various fields, adding a vibrant cultural finale to the 14th Malayalam Festival.
