The annual Muthappan Vellatta Mahotsavam will be held on the 15th under the auspices of Sri Muthappan Seva Samastha,Mira-Bhayander.The Mahotsavam will commence early in the morning with Ganapathi Homam at 5 am. This will be followed by Muthappan Malayirakkal at 9 am, the ceremonial Thiruvelatta Purappad at 10 am and the divine darshan, marking the spiritual highlight of the festival.A community luncheon (annadanam) will be served from 12 noon for devotees and well-wishers.The festival will conclude with the traditional climb to Muthappan Malakayattam at 6 pm, bringing the day’s sacred rituals to a devotional close.Devotees from across Mumbai and nearby areas are expected to participate in large numbers to seek the blessings of Sri Muthappan.
