The Grand Finale was held on February 26 at Sofitel Mumbai BKC, where young designers from across the country competed in a high-profile showcase of creativity and craftsmanship. A total of 240 contestants participated in the competition, which was conducted under four categories — Luxury Evening Wear, Elevated Indian Wear, Western Pret, and Celebration 9 Yards. Four finalists were shortlisted from each category before the final round.

Krishnapriya excelled in the Elevated Indian Wear category. Her original concept-based design impressed the judges with its creativity, detailing and contemporary interpretation of Indian aesthetics, earning her special appreciation from the jury and ultimately the top honour.

Krishnapriya is the daughter of Girish Nair and Surabhi Nair of Vasai. She is currently pursuing her final year Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design at Amity University. Vishnu Priya is her sister.

The winner was awarded a cash prize of ₹1,50,000 along with a certificate and a memento.

Krishnapriya’s achievement on a national platform has brought immense pride to her family, the Malayali community, and Vasai. Kerala in Mumbai congratulates her on this remarkable accomplishment and wishes her greater success in her future endeavours.
