The inauguration and purification ceremony of the Pongala Festival was held at the Panvel Ayyappa Temple under the patronage of Melsanthi Prashanth Thirumeni. The event was organised by Panvel Sri Ayyappa Seva Sangham in association with Ambe Mata Charitable Trust, Panvel.
Office bearers and members of various Hindu organisations participated in the function. The Pongala Mahotsavam will be held on March 3 at Ambe Mata Maidan, Panvel. The organisers informed that all necessary arrangements have been completed, with materials being provided by the temple authorities.
Devotees interested in participating have been requested to register their names in advance. The festival is expected to witness active participation from devotees from Panvel and surrounding areas.
