The seventh edition of the ‘Marathi Malayali Ethnic Fest,’ celebrating the shared cultural heritage of Kerala and Maharashtra, will begin today at the Nehru Science Centre, Worli. The three-day festival is jointly organised by the Nehru Science Centre under the Union Ministry of Culture and the All Mumbai Malayali Association (AMMA).Eminent personalities from political and cultural fields are participating in the festival. Vice Chancellor Dr. Ravindra Kulkarni and others are attending as chief guests at various functions. Festival Director Jojo Thomas said the event reflects the rich cultural diversity of both states and aims to strengthen cultural harmony.The festival features a variety of cultural programmes, including classical and folk dance forms of Maharashtra and Kerala, music performances, competitions for children, and a poetry meet. Entry is free and will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
