The 22nd Sree Muthappan Thiruvappana Mahotsavam of Panvel Khandeshwar will be held on Saturday and Sunday, February 21 and 22, at the Agri Shikshan Samstha School Ground, Khanda Colony Sector-6, opposite the Khandeshwar Shiva Temple.
The festival will commence on Saturday at 5 am with Ganapati Homam and will conclude on Sunday night. The two-day celebrations will feature traditional rituals and devotional programmes including Payamkutty, Muthappan Malayirakkal, Thayambaka, Vellattam, Kalasham Varav, Thiruvappana and Pallivetta. Annadanam (free food distribution) will be arranged on both days.
The organisers said the festival aims to present Kerala’s rich cultural and spiritual traditions in the metropolis, introduce them to the younger generation and preserve these rituals for the future. Elaborate arrangements have been made for the convenience of devotees, including facilities for easy darshan and vehicle parking for hundreds of devotees from Panvel and surrounding areas.For more details contact on +91 98696 08657
