Vapi (Gujarat): The 49th anniversary celebrations of the Vapi Malayali Welfare Association were inaugurated by noted poet and singer Girish Puliyur. Association president Joy Joseph presided over the function. Fellowship Mission School Director C.V. Mathew delivered the keynote address, while General Secretary Rajesh Kurup welcomed the gathering. Convener Shaji Mathew proposed the vote of thanks. The logo of the year-long Golden Jubilee celebrations was unveiled on the occasion, followed by colourful cultural programmes presented by the members.
