Mumbai will witness the staging of the acclaimed one-act play Otta Njaval Maram on the 21st at NBKS Hall, Nerul, at 6.59 pm, under the leadership of IPTA Kerala Mumbai Chapter.
The play is based on Madhavikutty’s celebrated short story Venalinte Ozhivu ( വേനലിന്റെ ഒഴിവ് ) and features Kerala State Film Award winner Beena R. Chandran in the lead. Written by K. V. Sreeja and directed by C. M. Narayanan, the production is being presented by Arangottukara Kala paadashala.
Otta Njaval Maram has already been staged in several foreign countries and has received wide appreciation for its powerful narrative and performance. Beena R. Chandran, who has been active in theatre since childhood, is expected to deliver yet another memorable performance for Mumbai’s theatre lovers.
The event is expected to draw a large audience from the Malayali community in Mumbai, offering them an evening of meaningful and thought-provoking theatre.
