Chidambaram Natyanjali Trust has organised the 45th edition of the renowned Natyanjali Festival of Classical Dances at the Rajah Shri Annamalai Chettiar premises, Chidambaram. The five-day festival, commencing on February 13 and concluding on February 17, is being held with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and the Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi.
The performances are offered as a श्रद्धांजलि (dance offering) to Lord Nataraja, with special presentations on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivaratri on February 15. While Bharatanatyam will dominate the festival, Kuchipudi and Kathak will also add to the classical splendour.
Eminent gurus whose disciples will perform include Guru Amrita Varshini Raju (Puducherry), Guru Kalaiyarasi, Guru Padma Raghavan, Guru Srekala Bharat, Guru Maneesha Sathe (Kathak), Guru Revathi Narasimhan, Guru Jaikishor and Padmavani Mosalikanti, Guru Snehal Kalamkar, Guru Shama Krishna, Guru Aruljathi, Guru Anjana Pradeep, Guru Lavanya Sankar, Guru Uma Satyanarayanan and Guru Aparna Vinod.
