The Pune Chakkulathamma Sanjeevani Ashram Charitable Trust is organising the Chakkulathupongala on Sunday, February 22, at the Sant Gnaneshwar Park Mahadeva Temple near CMS School, Nigdi Pradhikaran.

The ceremonies will commence with Maha Ganapathi Homam at 6 am, followed by the installation of the Panchaloha idol brought from Chakkulathukavu at 7 am. At 8 am, Ramesh Ilamon Namboothiri will light the Bhadradeepam and deliver the blessing address, and at 9 am, Jayasurya Namboothiri Mampatta will light the fire in the Pandara stove to start the pongala rituals.. Pongal Nivedyam will be offered at 11 am, followed by Annadanam from 12 noon. Kalashabhishekam, Parayidal, Archana and Durga Puja will also be held. Firewood, water and stove accessories will be arranged by the organisers, said Trust President Manoj Pillai.
