Pathanamthitta: A woman employee of a spa in Thiruvalla was allegedly sexually assaulted by a group of six men after the spa owner refused to pay ₹50,000 demanded as extortion money, police said. The incident reportedly took place on February 1, following repeated threats and demands made to the establishment.
According to the police, two of the accused, including the prime accused, have been arrested and remanded to custody, while efforts are on to trace the remaining suspects. The case came to light after CCTV visuals surfaced and the victim recorded her statement with the authorities. Further investigation is in progress.
