The iconic BKS Walkathon, organised by Bombay Keraleeya Samajam, Matunga is set to celebrate its 60th year with great enthusiasm and sporting spirit. The prestigious walking competition will be held at Shivaji Park, Dadar on Sunday, February 22, 2026, starting from 6.00 am.
Athletes and walking enthusiasts from across Mumbai, cutting across language, region and community, are expected to participate in this much-awaited metropolitan sports festival. The competition will be conducted in twelve categories, including boys, girls, men, women, and veterans, making it one of the most inclusive and long-standing walking events in the city.
Bombay Keralaleeya Samajam is making elaborate arrangements to ensure the grand success of this landmark edition of the Walkathon. The valedictory function will be held at the Kabaddi Association Hall, Shivaji Park, and will be graced by eminent personalities from Mumbai’s sports fraternity as special guests.
Cash prizes, trophies, plaques and incentive awards will be presented to the winners during the closing ceremony.
