Uttam Kumar has been appointed as the Deputy Director (Trade) of the National Industries Research and Development Council (NIRDC), a Government of India undertaking functioning under the Ministry of Industries, Small Industries and Food Processing. The appointment is for a tenure of five years.
With a professional journey spanning over 35 years in Mumbai, Uttam Kumar brings with him wide experience in trade, industry and organisational leadership. He has been associated with NIRDC Industries in various capacities and has now been elevated to this key leadership role, reflecting the organisation’s confidence in his capabilities and commitment.
Actively involved in community service and philanthropy, Uttam Kumar is also known for his public engagement. He had earlier contested the Vasai Municipal Corporation elections as a BJP candidate, earning recognition for his grassroots involvement and social initiatives.
