The Hiranandani Keralites Association, one of the prominent Malayalee associations in Mumbai, celebrated its anniversary in a grand and memorable manner on Sunday, 11th January, at Powai. The colourful evening witnessed enthusiastic participation from members, their families, invited guests and well-wishers, reflecting the strong sense of unity and cultural pride within the community.

The programme featured an engaging blend of music and dance performances, followed by felicitation ceremonies. The highlight of the evening was the excellent performances by the association’s own talented members, who impressed the audience with their artistic skills and dedication. The celebration clearly demonstrated the vast pool of local talent available within the Mumbai Malayalee community.

On the occasion, Mr. D. R. Nair, Senior Director of the Hiranandani Group, was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his significant contributions. The award was presented by the local MLA, who attended the function as the Chief Guest.

Kerala In Mumbai opines that associations should increasingly encourage and promote local talents during such events, instead of spending large amounts to bring artistes from Kerala. This approach not only helps reduce costs but also provides valuable platforms and recognition for talented artistes based in Mumbai.

The well-organised celebration concluded with a sumptuous dinner, bringing the festive evening to a delightful close.
