The Kerala government has granted approval for the establishment of music kiosks across the state in memory of legendary playback singer P. Jayachandran. The initiative is being implemented under the leadership of the P. Jayachandran fans Group, according to its representative S. Manoharan.

The proposed kiosks will enable the public to listen to selected songs of P. Jayachandran at a fixed volume throughout the day, serving as a lasting tribute to the singer’s immense contribution to Indian music.

In the first phase, a music kiosk will be set up at the Thiruvananthapuram Museum premises, with construction expenses borne by the government. Subsequently, similar kiosks will be installed at Ernakulam Children’s Park, Thrissur Thekkinkadu Ground, and Kozhikode Mananchira Ground with the support of sponsors.

The project aims to preserve and popularise the musical legacy of P. Jayachandran while offering music lovers a unique public listening experience.
