Rev. George John, a priest of the Mar Thoma Church, Mumbai Diocese, continues his long-standing tradition of spreading the message of faith through music with the release of a new Christmas song this season.
Known for composing devotional songs every Christmas, Rev. George has once again stayed true to this spiritual practice. The latest song begins with the lines “Kunje Nee Urakkamayo” and has been composed by his wife, Lini George. The song has been released as part of a Christmas music album and is already receiving warm appreciation from listeners.
The video of the song was released recently on the YouTube channel of the church’s music department, DSMC. Rev. George John, who has written more than 50 devotional songs over the years, believes music is a powerful medium to bring people closer to God through prayer and reflection.
Rev. George’s musical journey began in childhood and was nurtured through active involvement in church choirs. He is currently serving as the Vicar of St. Paul’s Mar Thoma Church, Vashi, Navi Mumbai and is a native of Ilanthoor in Pathanamthitta district, Kerala.
Through his continued musical offerings, Rev. George John reaffirms the role of devotional music as an integral part of spiritual life, especially during the Christmas season.
