‘ Keli’ Pranati Awards for Jyoti Hegde and Dr. Neena Prasad

The 33rd anniversary celebrations of Mumbai-based cultural organisation Keli commence today with the Pranati Festival, being held today and tomorrow at Therna Auditorium, Nerul West. The festival is organised in memory of the legendary musician Annapurna Devi.

This year’s Pranati Acharya Award will be conferred upon renowned Rudra Veena exponent Jyoti Hegde by Melacharyan Peruvanam Kuttan Marar. Eminent Mohiniyattam dancer and Natya Kalanidhi awardee Dr. Neena Prasad will receive the Pranati Pratibha Puraskar, to be presented by celebrated Manipuri dance maestro Darshan Jhaveri.

Today’s programme begins at 6.30 pm with a Dhrupad concert on the Rudra Veena by Jyoti Hegde, accompanied on Pakhavaj by Sukhad Munda. Tomorrow evening will feature a Mohiniyattam performance by Dr. Neena Prasad and her team.
