IndiGo Airlines has announced the launch of daily direct flights from the newly opened Navi Mumbai International Airport to Coimbatore and Chennai starting from 29th of this month. This new connectivity is expected to greatly benefit travellers, especially the large Kerala community in Mumbai.

Coimbatore Airport is the nearest and most convenient airport for people travelling to Palakkad, Thrissur, and nearby regions, offering easy road access and reduced travel time. The new service to Coimbatore will depart at 9:00 AM and reach in approximately 1 hour 45 minutes. The fare as of yesterday was ₹6,695.

In addition to this, IndiGo has also announced flights from Navi Mumbai to North Goa starting from the 26th—Goa’s second-largest airport—providing a boost for tourists. Earlier announcements also include services to Kochi and several other destinations. Ticket bookings for all these routes are now open.

Currently, the Navi Mumbai Airport operates flights between 8 AM and 8 PM, and this schedule will continue until February 8th, after which the airport will transition to 24-hour operations. A new service to Vadodara will also begin from the 30th, operating five days a week.

The new Navi Mumbai–Coimbatore route is expected to be a major convenience for Mumbai Keralites, offering a faster and more comfortable travel option to their hometowns.
