Sabarimala: The ‘Ayyan’ mobile application, developed by the Periyar Tiger Reserve West Division two years ago, is proving to be a useful digital companion for Sabarimala pilgrims. The app provides comprehensive information, guidelines, and services essential for devotees visiting the shrine.

The application includes details on the rules to be followed by pilgrims, features of the wildlife sanctuary, and important emergency contact numbers. One of its key advantages is that it can function offline, making it extremely helpful in areas with poor or no internet connectivity.

Pilgrims can also access information about available services in and around Pampa, Erumeli, and Sannidhanam, including service centers, accommodation facilities, public toilets, health centers, and drinking water points along forest routes. The app additionally provides route-specific warnings and the distance between key locations, helping devotees plan their journey safely.

The ‘Ayyan’ app is available for download on the Google Play Store.
