The National Commission for Women has launched a new dedicated short-code helpline 14490 to support women facing violence, harassment, or any form of distress. The service will operate 24 hours a day, providing immediate assistance and guidance.
The newly introduced number has also been integrated with the Commission’s existing helpline 7827170170, ensuring smoother access and faster response for women in need.
The NCW stated that the new helpline will further strengthen its efforts to offer timely help and enhance the overall safety and welfare of women across the country.
