Thousands of Ayyappa devotees assembled at the Police Ground in New Panvel as part of a mass protest following the recent temple robbery incident in Sabarimala. The gathering was organized to demand immediate and decisive action from the authorities and to reaffirm the unity of devotees in protecting temple traditions and assets.
The meeting was chaired by Panvel MLA Shri Prashant Thakur and witnessed the participation of several prominent spiritual leaders and dignitaries including Maha Mandaleshwar Swami Anandavanam Bharathi Maharaj, Swami Sreeshakti Shantananda Maharshi, Chief of Sri Ramakrishna Mission Shenkottukonam Mutt, Swami Visheshwarananda Saraswathi, Chief of Brahmapuri Nithyananda Ashram Mutt, Capt. Brijesh Chautta, MP, Dakshina Kannada, Tamil Selvam, MLA, Sion-Koliwada and
Office-bearers from various Hindu organizations and community representatives.

During the event, a key resolution was unanimously passed, demanding a CBI investigation into the gold theft at Sabarimala and various other temples,
dissolution of the Devaswom Board and transfer of temple administration to devotees.
The resolution was presented by MLA Prashant Thakur. Thousands of devotees raised slogans urging the authorities to ensure justice and safeguard temple properties.

Organizers from Ayyappa Seva Sangh stated that the gathering aimed to send a strong message to the government that devotees stand united and unwavering in protecting the sanctity of the temple and its assets.
The meeting also resolved to submit a detailed memorandum to the Prime Minister, President, and Union Home Minister. Additionally, 10,000 postcards will be sent to the Prime Minister highlighting the same concerns.
