Nerul New Bombay Keraleeya Samajam, Navi Mumbai celebrated Kerala Piravi day. Samajam President K. A. Kurup presided and General Secretary Prakash Kattakada welcomed the gathering. Treasurer Jyotishmayan, Malayalam Mission Airoli-Kharghar Regional Secretary Mini Anil Parumala and others attended the function.

Prominent speaker and theatre activist Adv. Sukumaran Kunjimangalam delivered a lecture on the topic Kerala – History and Hope followed by various cultural performances by the members of the samajam and their children.

It is noteworthy that the children performed the short play “Nani amma Mindunnilla”. The students who passed SSC, HSC examinations were felicitated at the function.

The inauguration of the new Kalaripayattu class was accompanied by a demonstration by the trainers.

Malayalam Mission Airoli-Khargar region Secretary administered the language pledge. Samajam Kala Samithi Convenor Sanju Thomas controlled the proceedings.
