He has written lyrics for not more than 10 films but his first song itself drew attention of discerning music lovers. Kรขttu vannu, ninte kรขmukan vannu was the first line of that song and it still reverberates in his admires but the lyricist is no more. Lyricist G K Pallath (P Govindankutty) breathed his last. He was 82.
The above mentioned song was written for the film Pรขdasaram, produced by actor T G Ravi in 1978, composed by G Devarajan and rendered by P Jayachandran. His other movies are Chora chuvanna chora, Chakara, Amrutageetam, Kรขttutฤซ, Kรขlhichakram,. Vรขlkkannaลฅi, Kumkumapottu, Noolpalam and Veerachrinkhala. He also authored two plays Dhoothaputri and Kuลฅumbavilhakku.
Pallathu retired from service as Deputy Tahisildar. He is survived by his wife N Rajalakshmi,and children Nayana Suhas and Radhik
