Malayali singer K.S. Chitra has been selected to receive the Lata Mangeshkar Award, instituted by the Government of Madhya Pradesh, for the year 2023. The award includes a cash prize of Rs 2 lakhs and a citation. Music Director Uttam Singh will be honored with the same award for the year 2022.
The awards will be presented on September 28, which marks the birthday of Lata Mangeshkar.
