Kalashri K. N. P. Nambisan has been conferred the “Kala Shiromani Lifetime Achievement Award” by the Anjali Bharata Natyam Research Trust in association with the All India Artists Association (AIAA), Mumbai.
This distinguished honour recognises his dedicated contribution spanning six decades as a multi-percussion artist, reflecting an extraordinary journey of passion, discipline, and commitment to the world of music and performing arts.
Through his remarkable artistry and unwavering devotion to preserving and promoting traditional percussion, Kalashri K. N. P. Nambisan has inspired generations of musicians and audiences alike. His lifelong pursuit of excellence has enriched India’s cultural heritage and earned him deep respect within the artistic community.
The award was presented on 16 November 2025 in Mumbai, celebrating his invaluable service and outstanding achievements in the field of music.
