Vasai Tapasya Kalavedi Charitable Trust will organise Adivasi Smriti Samaroh (Tribal Remembrance Day) on January 4, marking a day of remembrance and welfare initiatives for forest dwellers and tribal communities.
The programme will commence at 10.30 a.m., with the participation of nearly 300 tribal villagers from the region, along with around 50 family members of Tapasya Kalavedi activists. The event will feature a cultural meet followed by a variety of folk art performances, traditional songs, bhajans, and other programmes presented by the villagers and social activists.
As part of the welfare initiatives, bicycles will be distributed to 10 students, while study materials will be provided to 60 children from the surrounding tribal areas. Artistic and sports activities have also been arranged to encourage talent and community participation.
A traditional lunch prepared by the villagers will be served to all attendees, reflecting the spirit of togetherness and cultural sharing. The programme will conclude with a closing meeting at 4.00 p.m.
