Mandala Masa Mahotsavam celebrations are being observed with deep devotion across Mumbai and its suburbs, with special poojas and cultural programmes lined up at various Ayyappa temples.

At Belapur Ayyappa Temple, Mandala Pooja will feature Thiruvathira Homam, Kalasha Pooja and Kalashabhishekam in the morning, followed by Annadanam at noon. A traditional Ghosha Yatra with Panchavadyam, Ayyapparatham and Thalapoli will culminate at the temple, leading to Mahadeeparadhana, devotional rituals and prasadam distribution. Bhajan programmes by Panvel Shiva Kripa Bhajans (25th) and a devotional music presentation by Voice of Kharghar (27th) are also scheduled.

At Thakurli Kambalpada Ayyappa Temple, Mandala Pooja will be observed from the 25th to 27th with Ganapati Homam, Laksharchana, Annadanam, Chintupattu and Bhajans. The concluding day will include Mandalakala Poojas, Ghosha Yatra, Deeparadhana and community food distribution.

The 49th Ayyappa Pooja of the Mumbai Malad East Ayyappa Seva Sangam will also be held from the 25th to 27th at its Kerala-style circular temple. The three-day observance includes Ganapati Homam, Narayaniyam chanting, Bhajans, Carnatic music sessions and concluding Mandala rituals with Deeparadhana.

These celebrations once again reflect the strong spiritual and cultural bond shared by Mumbai’s Malayali community during the sacred Mandala season.
