Panvel-Based Malayali Entrepreneur Rajeev Kuttappan Dies in Tragic Road Accident

The Malayali community in Panvel is mourning the untimely demise of Rajeev Kuttappan (54), a native of Puliparambil House, near Puliparambil Bhagavathi Temple, Elthuruth P.O., Laloor, Thrissur, who passed away in a tragic road accident on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at around 6.00 a.m.

Rajeev had been residing in Panvel for the past 35 years and was well known in the locality as the owner of a workshop. He lived with his family at Hari Bhavan Apartments, Sector 12, Road No. 11, Panvel.

On receiving information about the accident, office bearers of the Kerala Cultural Society (KCS), Panvel, rushed to the Panvel Government Hospital and extended all necessary assistance to the bereaved family. In coordination with the police authorities, they completed the required legal formalities, including the post-mortem procedures.

The mortal remains will be flown to Kochi on Sunday morning, June 28, and transported to his hometown in Thrissur by a NORKA ambulance arranged in Kerala.

According to family members, the cremation will be held on Sunday, June 28, at 3.00 p.m. at the SNDP Crematorium, Vadakkara.
