Ode to Yantra (Manifest Echo of the Sacred Heart), curated by Dr. Lata Surendra in collaboration with Dr. Rekha Gour, presented a captivating exploration of Yantra through diverse classical and contemporary dance forms on April 14th, 2026 . The event opened with Shri Sandip Soparrkar invoking Aristotleโs philosophy, highlighting the enduring supremacy of art over wealth.

The programme began with the creation of the Saraswati Yantra through Gayan, Vadan, Nartan, and Chitram by Sunil Sunkara, Sumeet Patil, and Satish Krishnamurthy. This was followed by a series of performances portraying Yantra as sacred geometry and spiritual energy. Highlights included Kaikottikali by Dr. Vijayshree Pillai, Odissi by Dr. Sarmishtha Chattopadhyay, Shiva Yantra by Sujatha Ramanathan, Moksha by disciples of Guru Nivedita Mukherjee, and Kathak presentations depicting Damaru and cosmic duality by Guru Lata Bakalkarโs disciples.

Other notable performances featured Ganapati Yantra by Meghna Arun, Devi Yantra by Mitali Varadkar, Shakti Yantra by Dr. Nandhini Ashok, and Manipuri by Purbita Mukherjee interpreting the human body as a Yantra. Contemporary interpretations included Aditya Garudโs symbolic bangle choreography and Richard DโCostaโs thought-provoking piece questioning the control between human and Yantra.

Further presentations included Sri Yantra by Pallavi Pโs students, Vithoba Yantra by Padmini Joshi, Shakti by Sayantani Chakraborty, Mangalacharan by Monaswini Mohanty, a Shiva-themed OdissiโKathak duet by Aditi M. Thomas and Aditi Yadav, Saraswati Yantra in Kuchipudi by Dr. Vijayashree Pillai, Kali Yantra by Samidha Shindeโs group, and Kathak by Sheetal Kapole and Saritha Joshi. The programme also featured Gayatri Acharyaโs disciples presenting SaraswatiโShyamala progression and a vibrant Lavani by Nilesh Auti dedicated to Sandhya Shantaram.

Marking International Dance Day, the event concluded with the message that dance transcends performance, emerging as a sacred expression where the human body becomes a living Yantra in harmony with the cosmos.
