The monthly literary meet ‘Sahitya Sayahnam’ of Dombivli Keraleeya Samajam will be held on Sunday August 10 at 4.30 p m in the office premises of the Samajam, situated at Bhajiprabhu Chowk, Dombivli East. C P Krishnakumar will introduce a compilation of short stories by Suresh Varma, titled ‘Lal Tambe’ and Santosh Pallassana will analyse the stories.
Dombivli Keraleeya Samajam is also organising a discourse on Sanskrit language and its idiosyncrasies titled Samskrutam-Samskaram’ by Dr P V Viswanathan Namboothiri, linguist and head of department of Sanskrit of Baselios College, Kottayam on August 11 at 11 a m at its office. Viswanathan Namboothiri is also a guide to research scholars of Sanskrit of M G University and also a member of the Syllabus Committee of the university. Currently, he is the president of Parasram Sanskrit Samajam. He has written several books on the language and also on epics.
