Mumbai’s vibrant Malayalam cultural scene is set to receive a nostalgic and inspiring tribute as Raagalaya launches a special series featuring some of the senior-most artists who have significantly contributed to the city’s artistic landscape over the decades.
The initiative aims to honour veteran talents who have excelled in various fields of art including music, drama, orchestra, dance and stage performances, and who played a pivotal role in shaping Mumbai’s Malayalam cultural movement during the seventies and eighties.
The first episode of the series has already received warm appreciation from art lovers and members of the Malayali community. Raagalaya stated that this is only the beginning, and many more episodes featuring distinguished artists from diverse artistic backgrounds will be presented in the coming days.
Through this unique initiative, Raagalaya seeks to preserve cherished memories, celebrate artistic excellence and introduce the younger generation to the remarkable contributions of these senior artists who kept Malayalam art and culture vibrant in Mumbai for decades.
The organisers also expressed gratitude to all artists, supporters and viewers for encouraging the initiative and making the series a meaningful cultural journey.
