Sivagiri Pilgrimage: Mumbai Group Participates

Around fifty pilgrims from Mumbai, led by the Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana Yogam Mumbai–Thane Union, are participating in the annual Sivagiri Pilgrimage. The group commenced its journey by train on Sunday, December 28.

The pilgrims will take part in the pilgrimage programmes on December 30 and 31, and are scheduled to return to Mumbai on January 1. The group is being led by Union Vice President T.K. Mohan and former Union Secretary T.K. Vasu.

The Sivagiri Pilgrimage, popularly known as the “Pilgrimage of Knowledge”, features seminars and discussions on themes such as education, cleanliness, devotion, organisation, agriculture, trade, handicrafts, and scientific and technological training.

Union President M. Biju Kumar stated that the pilgrims are observing a ten-day discipline in accordance with the Panchashuddhi principles, emphasising purity of body, mind, speech, food, and actions during the pilgrimage.
