Jayesh Menon Passes Away

Jayesh Menon (56), a prominent organiser of overseas Malayali associations in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, passed away following a cardiac arrest. He was found deceased at his residence.

A native of Pallavur Puthillath in Palakkad district, Jayesh Menon was a respected and active figure in the Malayali community of Gujarat. He served as the General Secretary and a long-time office bearer of the Ahmedabad Kerala Samajam, and played a key role in strengthening community activities.

Jayesh Menon was also instrumental in the formation of the Federation of Gujarat Malayali Associations (FEGMA), the apex body of Malayali organisations in Gujarat, and remained closely associated with its initiatives.

He had been living alone after the demise of his wife, Girija, last year. He is survived by his children, Pooja and Poorna, and son-in-law, Chinmay Menon.

The funeral was held at the public crematorium in Thaltej, Ahmedabad. Several Malayali organisations and community members paid homage to Jayesh Menon, remembering his dedicated service and commitment to community welfare. FEGMA and the Ahmedabad Kerala Samajam have expressed deep condolences on his untimely demise.
