

The Bharatanatyam Arangetram of Swarna Nair was held in a spiritually charged and culturally rich atmosphere at the ISKCON Auditorium, Juhu, marking a significant milestone in the young dancer’s artistic journey. The event was organised by her parents Smt. Manasi Nair and Shri Shriraj Nair, and witnessed the gracious presence of several eminent personalities from cultural, spiritual, academic, and film fraternities.
Swarna Nair, a dedicated disciple of Guru Smt. Manasi Nair, presented a well-structured Bharatanatyam repertoire that reflected rigorous training, expressive abhinaya, rhythmic precision, and deep-rooted devotion to the classical art form. Her confident stage presence and nuanced performance were warmly appreciated by the audience.
The Arangetram was attended by distinguished dignitaries including Swami Vigyananand, Founder of the World Hindu Congress and alumnus of IIT Kharagpur; noted filmmaker Padmashri Madhur Bhandarkar; Padmashri awardee Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi; and film producer and philanthropist Good night Mohan.
Also present were Dr Ajay Sankhe, President of Bhakti Vedanta Hospital; Anil Singhi Alumini Bits Pilani, renowned exponent Kalamandalam Anantanarayanan; Carnatic music stalwart Ganabhushanam Ganeshan Iyer; Dr Uma Rele; and Dr Reshma Hegde, along with several other cultural patrons and well-wishers.
The event stood as a celebration of classical heritage, discipline, and devotion, underscoring the continuing vibrancy of Bharatanatyam among the younger generation. The programme concluded with warm felicitations to the dancer, her guru, and parents, followed by fellowship and dinner.
