Kollam: T.P. Madhavan, the esteemed Malayalam actor, has passed away at the age of 88 after battling stomach-related issues. Known for his remarkable versatility, he appeared in over 600 films, making his debut at 40 with the 1975 movie Raagam. Madhavan initially portrayed villains but later gained fame for his comedic and impactful character roles. He also served as the first General Secretary of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA). Prior to acting, he managed advertising agencies in Mumbai and Kolkata and held a postgraduate degree in sociology. The last rites are scheduled for Thursday at Santhi Kavadam.
