Mumbai: R.M. Purushothaman (74), a businessman and social activist from the Mampally family of Mukeri in Kannur Panur, passed away this morning (03/10/2024) at Tejaswini Hospital in Mangalapuram. He was the owner of D.S. Cut Piece Matunga & R.M. Shopping Center, Secretary of the Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana Yogam Matunga branch, a life member of the Sree Narayana Mandira Committee, Secretary of the Sree Ayyappa Bhakta Mandal Matunga, life member of the Bombay Kerala Samajam, member of the All India Malayali Association, and active member of various organizations such as the Muthappan Seva Samiti and Ayyappa Seva Mandal in Sion. He actively collaborated with several organizations in Mumbai. His compassionate work during the COVID period, reflecting kindness towards fellow beings, is noteworthy. The void left by R.M. Purushothaman, a multifaceted personality, is irreplaceable for the religious, political, cultural, and community organizations in Mumbai. He is survived by his wife, Shailaja Purushothaman, and children Puneeth Purushothaman and Purnima Shaji, as well as Son in law shaji and daughter in law Sneha puneet and grandchildren Neetra . The post-death ceremonies will be held at their home courtyard this evening at 5 PM.
