After a long hiatus, Kerala Kalamandalam has arrived in Mumbai to present the Kathakali performance "Subhadraharanam" at the NCPA this evening. The performance will feature the popular 'garlanding' scene and will take place at the Experimental Theatre of NCPA at 6:30 p.m.

The Kathakali workshop and discourse, held on the morning of August 21, received positive feedback. The event saw a diverse audience, including many non-Keralites.

The program, devised by senior Kathakali artist and former Principal M.P.S. Namboothiri, Kathakali Chenda expert and former Principal Unnikrishnan, and structural philosopher Dr. M.V. Narayanan, promises a rich presentation.

Sixteen artists, guided by senior Kalamandalam members Shanmukhadas, Tulasikumar, Sudip, Vinod, Hariharan, and Sivadasan, showcased their skills during yesterday’s workshop, earning accolades from attendees.
