Music director Ilayaraja confronts the producers of ‘Manhummal Boys’, the Malayalam box office hit of this year. Since the releasing date of February 22, this film has collected more than Rs 200 crores at box office.

In the lawyer’s notice sent to the producers, Ilayaraja accused them of violating copyright by inserting his song ‘Kanmani anpodu’ from Kamalahasan film ‘Guna’ without seeking his permission. Simply acknowledging in the titles or apologising later would not do, he pointed out. The producers should delete the song from the film and pay compensation for using it, he demanded. Unless the matter is settled within 15 days, he would proceed with legal remedies, Ilayaraja warned.
