Mumbai Malayalees are in for a festive treat as Powai Kerala Samajam (Reg.) organizes a vibrant Christmas–New Year celebration, Thaaraka Raathri, on Friday, 27 December 2025, at the Municipal Ground (Harichandra Sharma Ground), Powai. The programme will commence at 5.30 pm onwards and is open to all with free entry.
The evening promises a colourful blend of entertainment and tradition, highlighted by a big-budget stage drama ” KUTTICHAATHAN “, cultural performances, fireworks, and a lively festive atmosphere. Adding to the celebrations, popular Naadan Paattu singer Jaiju John will enthrall the audience with his performance. Complimentary food arrangements have also been made for attendees.
Organised as part of the Samajam’s annual festivities, the event aims to bring together the Malayali community of Powai and nearby areas to celebrate the spirit of Christmas and welcome the New Year in a joyful and inclusive manner.
