The sacred observance of Guruvayur Ekadashi is being celebrated today with tens of thousands of devotees gathering in and around the temple premises to participate in the rituals and festivities.

Contrary to earlier concerns, authorities have confirmed that the roads will not be closed tonight, ensuring smooth movement for pilgrims.

The special Poojas will begin at 6:30 PM, with darshan permitted for one hour between the five major pujas. Special darshan will not be available from 5 AM to 5 PM; only devotees waiting in the queue will be allowed darshan during this period.

Yesterday, the Sankirtana Trust marked Dashami with traditional melam and devotional programs. Post the sacred cleansing and rituals, the temple will remain open only for devotees offering prayers or performing vehicle-related offerings.

As part of the Ekadashi traditions, ezhunnallippu processions are being held. The Ekadashi fast will conclude with the ritual offering of Sadya to Vedic scholars. Later tonight, after midnight, the Dwadashippana ritual will commence at the Koothambalam, offered by Agnihotri families from Sukapuram and Irinjalakuda.

A massive Ekadashi Prasadam Oottu for nearly 40,000 devotees will begin at 9 AM. The grand villukezhunnallippu will be followed by the Arattu at 11 AM. Tomorrow, from 7 AM to 11 AM, devotees will be served Dwadashi Oottu

Ezhunnallippu will be taken to the Thiruvenkidom Temple in a traditional procession accompanied by three elephants. After the Kalamezhuthu Shiveli, the Udayasthamana Puja and other rituals will take place. The entire temple procession and celebrations, which have continued for 53 hours, will conclude tomorrow.

The atmosphere at Guruvayur remains deeply devotional, with hymns, offerings, and cultural programs honouring the significance of Ekadashi.
