Kerala Sangeeta Nataka Akademi extends its reach

Kerala Sangeeta Nataka Akademi has decided to extend its reach of West Zone by forming a new Cultural Committee. This was disclosed by Akademi Secretary Radhakrishnan Nair in a meeting held at Kerala House, Vashi. It will be effective from the jubilee year.

The objective is to reach every nook and corner where Malayali resides and thus provide a new face to Kerala culture. Akademi has undertaken to expand and develop fourteen cultural fields including Kathakali. There will be two workshops for stage plays in Mumbai.  Akademi is organising a Drama Festival about the Sidelined Face (Parshwavatkruta Mukham).

To meet this end a committee of fifteen members has been formed with Keli Ramachandran as its Chairman. Jayaprakash P D (Gen Convenor), T N Hariharan (Treasurer), Priya M Varghese, Surendra Babu, Mukundan Menon Baroda (Vice Chairman), Valsan Moorkoth, Sukesh Pookkulangara, Sankaranarayanan Pune, Sasikumar Nair (Jt Convenor), Rajesh Narayanan (Jt Treasurer), Suma Mukundan, Nisha Gilbert, Sibi Sathyan and Girisan Nair Nashik are the members of the Committee. There is a general council of forty members including the above mentioned names.
